Female Shikra

The shikra is a small bird of prey in the family Accipitridae found widely distributed in Asia and Africa where it is also called the little banded goshawk. Males have a red iris while the females have a less red (yellowish orange) iris and brownish upper parts apart from heavier barring on the underparts.

शिक्रा एसिप्रिट्रिडे परिवार का एक छोटा सा शिकारी पक्षी है जो आमतौर पर एशिया और अफ्रीका में पाया जाता है, जहां इसे छोटे बैंड वाला गोशाक भी कहा जाता है। नरों की आँख की पुतली लाल रंग की होती है जबकि मादा की पुतली पीले–नारंगी रंग की होती है।
